What makes someone a hipster??

I In the last 3 to 4 months I've been hearing the phrase hipster thrown around and I've honestly have no idea where it started. I've been called a "hipster" and have had friends make jokes about people who they classify as being "hipster". I'm curious how people come up with this weird classification. I found this online today and I think it puts it all in perspective.
